Despite some tough blows to the offense, the Indianapolis Colts somehow keep finding ways to win games and remain in contention for a Wild Card spot.
The Colts are coming off a Week 12 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that featured plenty of exciting possessions.
Tampa Bay has been a competitive team for most of the season, but Indianapolis mustered up enough on both ends to secure the victory and keep pace with the rest of the AFC South.
The Colts got a huge lift from two of their offensive stars as Jonathan Taylor recorded 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Michael Pittman Jr. recorded 10 receptions for 107 yards.
However, Indianapolis got hit with bad news when it was announced that Taylor would undergo surgery for a thumb injury.
Taylor’s absence could mean more work for Pittman who explained how he and the team have been able to weather through injuries and still win games via The Jim Rome Show.
“It’s a credit to our guys just showing that they prepare every single week and they are ready to go no matter what. I also think it speaks to Shane’s (Steichen) scheme. How he’s able to scheme up his weapons no matter what,” Pittman said.

Indianapolis was without Taylor for the first half of the season, and they lost starting quarterback Anthony Richardson for the year to a shoulder injury.
However, Pittman explained that head coach Shane Steichen has done a great job of scheming up plays for the weapons on the team.
Pittman also credited his teammates for staying ready and doing what’s asked of them despite knowing that their elevated roles weren’t permanent.
It speaks to the resiliency and mentality of the Colts roster that they’re able to take any sort of adversity in stride and find ways to compete on a weekly basis.
