The Carolina Panthers have been a disaster through the first 12 weeks of the season.
They have a record of 1-10 and have easily been the worst team in football.
One person who gets most of the blame when their team struggles is the head coach.
That is why the Panthers decided to move on from Frank Reich as their coach.
Reich lasted only 11 games in Carolina, which was one of the shortest stints in NFL history.
In the offseason, many people thought the hiring of Reich was a good move.
He was an experienced coach and offensive guru.
Also, he was supposed to do wonders in developing first-overall pick Bryce Young.
Instead, Young has shown no signs of growth throughout the season.
Unfortunately for Reich, he understands that this may be his final shot as an NFL head coach.
According to Scott Fowler via Ari Meirov, Reich said, “This is probably the final chapter of my NFL journey.”

Reich is 62 years old and if he is ready to retire, he has nothing to be ashamed of.
Throughout his coaching career, he led many successful offenses, including the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl title.
Being competitive in the NFL year after year is very difficult.
That is why we see so many coaches fired each year.
Reich was not given a good roster to work with, but still, he must help his team win more than one game.
It will be interesting to see where the Panthers turn to for their next head coach because whoever it is will have their hands full.
