Giannis Antetokounmpo has copped the wrath of retired NBA player and current TV personality Chandler Parsons.
Parsons wasn’t a fan of Antetokounmpo taking pride in not scouting his opponents.
“I just, in general, do not watch basketball,” Giannis said during All-Star Weekend. “I love when I go to the game and I have no idea who I’m playing or what they do.”
Parsons then tweeted this in response:

Like most talking heads, Parsons has said some outlandish things before, but it’s hard to argue with him here. It was undeniably a weird flex by Giannis.
The Greek Freak’s statement was also vaguely reminiscent of Shaq saying, “if you’re not a top ten player, I don’t know who you are” in reference to Rui Hachimura. The big fella’s comments left fans wondering why an NBA analyst would boast about not knowing the majority of the league’s players.
In terms of the Giannis situation, there is at least a chance that he was joking, although there were no clear-cut signs that this was the case.
Either way, Parsons’ comments are another reminder that with the number of NBA shows and podcasts in circulation, players are going to get called out the moment they’re caught lacking.
