Heartwarming Moments: Mikel Arteta Shares How He Discovered Arsenal's Champion Victoryn

Emotional Title Triumph for Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta

Following Arsenal’s recent 1-0 victory over Burnley, manager Mikel Arteta shared a touching moment when his son informed him that the Gunners had clinched the Premier League title.

With this win, Arsenal held out hope that Manchester City would drop points against Bournemouth the following evening, securing the championship. A late equalizer from Erling Haaland, however, validated Arsenal’s status as the champions for the 2025/26 season, despite Arteta choosing not to watch the City match live.

Arteta Reflects on the Championship News

During his press conference, Arteta expressed that hearing the good news from his son was one of the greatest moments of his life. Journalist Charles Watts reported Arteta’s delightful reaction upon receiving the news.

Arteta shared, “It’s one of the best feelings I’ve ever had. I went home, I went outside, I started to do some BBQ. I couldn’t watch it (the match). I could hear noises from inside, then my son opened the door, ran towards me. He was crying and he said, ‘We are champions, daddy!'”

Looking Ahead: Champions League Final

While Arsenal fans have been celebrating this remarkable achievement, the season is not finished yet. The club is set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final later this month, aspiring for their first-ever European Cup victory.

Although the challenge against the reigning Champions League winners will be tough, Arsenal brings valuable experience from their journey to this point, remaining unbeaten in the competition this season.
