CNN’s much-anticipated “King Charles” weekly show, featuring hosts Gayle King and Charles Barkley, didn’t quite live up to expectations during its debut.
The first episode, which aired at 10 pm on Wednesday, attracted only 501,000 viewers, marking one of the lowest-rated premieres for a CNN primetime show in the past decade.
In terms of total viewers, it lagged significantly, securing the third position among major cable news channels and becoming the least-watched primetime debut on CNN for the year.
