Marc Guehi's Mistake Hands Everton the Lead After Controversial VAR Call

Marc Guehi made a significant error that allowed Everton to equalize against Manchester City.

A through ball intended for Thierno Barry was played while the striker was in an offside position. However, Guehi, in control of the situation, opted to back-pass to his goalkeeper. This action shifted Barry from an offside to an onside position, allowing him to intercept the ball and score past Gianluigi Donnarumma, bringing the score to 1-1.

Although the goal was initially ruled offside, a VAR review resulted in the referee overturning the decision, allowing the goal to stand.
