At this point in time, even though the team was able to come out on top against the lowly Carolina Panthers on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers likely aren’t going anywhere, with making the NFL playoffs being a relatively long shot.
With the win over Bryce Young and company, the Buccaneers improved their record to 5-7 on the season, which is still good for second place in the NFC South division standings right now behind the first-place Atlanta Falcons (6-6).
Although another win is a step in the right direction for Tampa Bay, it was star wide receiver Mike Evans who made headlines on Sunday after hauling in seven catches for 162 yards and a touchdown.
As a result of this stellar performance by Evans, he has extended his own record for 1,000-yard seasons for a decade straight, which is four more seasons than any other player, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.
#Bucs WR Mike Evans has now started his NFL career with 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons, extending his own record.

Racking up 1,000 yards receiving has been a goal of Evans’ every year, and he has done it once again; this time around, it might be the most important time to do it as he’ll test NFL free agency in the offseason.
With the Buccaneers seemingly going nowhere at this point in time, Evans could choose to leave the team in the offseason in hopes of a better chance to contend for another Super Bowl title before he calls it a career.
There’s no telling what the market will be for Evans, but with numbers like these and incredible consistency on the field, he’ll likely get some intriguing offers.
