Many NFL players never step foot on a field again after hanging up their cleats, as there’s not much more to do after giving the game everything you have and leaving it all out on the gridiron except admiring from afar and sharing insights to pass down your wisdom to the next generation.

One NFL legend is not like the rest, and a recent video showed him looking like he’s still in his prime and could sign with a team tomorrow.

A video surfaced on social media of Washington Commanders legend Darrell Green at 64 years old going through drills and working out with some players, and he looked like he hadn’t lost a step.

Green had the honor of having his jersey retired this offseason, and apparently he took that as a challenge to see if he’s still got it.

The Hall-of-Famer played 20 seasons in Washington, made seven Pro Bowls, and won a pair of Super Bowls to make him one of the most accomplished defensive players in NFL history.

He is tied for 21st all-time with 54 interceptions and racked up over 1,200 tackles in his career as well.

Washington has an overhauled secondary that went through big changes over the past few offseasons, with 2023 first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes now serving as the CB1 and free agent signee Jeremy Chinn stepping in at strong safety.

The Commanders surrendered the most passing yards in the league last season, so maybe signing Green out of retirement could help get things back on track.
