Hapoel Shoval Haifa (Winner League) acquired 28-year-old American 195cm guard Cameron Young (college: Quinnipiac) for the upcoming season. Young most recently played for Runa Basket in the Russian Junior League, where he averaged 11.0ppg, 1.8rpg, and 1.4apg in 17 VTB United League games last season.
In the summer of 2023 he played for In the Lab in the U.S. TBT league, averaging 14.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.5apg, and 1.0spg in two games. Young has professional experience in Italy, Ukraine, NBA G League, NBA Summer League, and The Basketball Tournament.
Among his accolades, Young’s college team made it to the Ukrainian Cup final in 2021. He was named the All-MAAC Player of the Year and participated in the Reese’s NCAA D1 All-Star Game in 2019. He graduated from Quinnipiac University in 2019 and this will be his sixth season playing professional basketball. Young also played for Arizona Western College for 2 years.
