The Jacksonville Jaguars have a very important season coming up for themselves in 2024.
After recently signing Pro Bowl quarterback Trevor Lawrence to a five-year extension worth $255 million, this team is locked in with their franchise quarterback.
Former NFL player and Fox Sports analyst Plaxico Burress recently spoke on the importance of winning for Jacksonville after they paid their quarterback.
“I don’t care who you sign or who’s playing quarterback, the fans are not going to show up if your team is not winning football games,” Burress said on The Carton Show.

Remember, this Jaguars franchise, in it’s totality, are arguably the worst in league history.
They have just one player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame and have a total winning percentage of just over 42%.
Not to mention the fact that they have not won a Super Bowl yet.
But, perhaps they are making strides under Doug Pederson and with Lawrence under center.
Jacksonville has had a winning record each of the last two seasons, which is the first time that’s happened since 2004-2005.
They also won the AFC South and a playoff game for the first time since 2017 in 2022.
Over these next five years with Lawrence and presumably the Super Bowl-winning head coach in Pederson, this team should have the goal of making many deep playoff runs.
With the quality skill players on offense and the savviness on defense, this team has plenty of potential.
They will just need to put it all together if they want to keep the fans behind them.
