Liverpool forward Harvey Elliott is showing enthusiasm for the prospect of transferring to Leeds United this summer. After a disappointing loan spell at Aston Villa, where he featured in only nine matches, Elliott will be returning to Liverpool. Unfortunately, he fell short of the ten appearances required for the loan to become permanent.

Elliott’s Future at Liverpool Uncertain

As reported by Football Insider, manager Arne Slot has reportedly indicated that Elliott may be available for transfer this summer, given that his contract is set to expire next year and there appears to be no plan for his reintegration into the team at Anfield.

With a desire for regular first-team action, Elliott sees Leeds as a suitable destination, where coach Daniel Farke could offer him the playing time he craves. Sources close to the situation suggest that Elliott is keen to explore this opportunity.

Leeds United Could Provide Regular Playing Time

If Leeds can assure Elliott of substantial playing time, they stand a strong chance of acquiring this talented player, who was recently named Player of the Tournament as England defended their European under-21 title.

While Slot has claimed that Elliott will join the Liverpool squad for pre-season, it seems unlikely that he has a future at the club under the current management.

Elliott would enhance Farke’s options on the right flank and create competition for Brenden Aaronson in the attacking midfield role at Elland Road.

Football finance expert Stefan Borson indicated that Liverpool may be willing to let Elliott go for around £25 million, a reasonable price for a 23-year-old with proven Premier League experience and homegrown status.

With Elliott appearing interested in a move to Leeds and Farke in a position to meet his need for consistent playing opportunities, it seems feasible that Leeds could provide a platform for him to revitalize his career.
