Host Cities, venues announced for 2024 Copa America


The 2024 Copa America host cities and venues have been determined.

Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida was previously announced as the host site for the final of the competition on July 6, CONMEBOL and CONCACAF announced Monday. MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey and Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina will serve as the semifinal sites for the tournament.

The quarterfinals will be held on July 4 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, July 5 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and July 6 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, Exploria Stadium in Orlando, Florida, Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri and Children’s Mercy Park in Missouri have also been announced as host sites for the matches.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta was also previously announced to host the opening match of the tournament on June 20. MetLife Stadium will also host two group stage matches in addition to one of two semifinal ties.

The 2024 edition of the competition will be under an expanded format. Six CONCACAF nations will join the traditional 10 CONMEBOL teams, which mirrors the 2016 edition of the tournament.

The U.S. men’s national team, Mexico, Jamaica, and Panama have already sealed their spots in the competition while they will also be joined by two others from their region. Costa Rica vs. Honduras and Canada vs. Trinidad & Tobago will square off on March 23 for the final two berths.

Argentina defeated hosts Brazil at the 2021 Copa America for its first major title in 28 years. The Argentinians proceeded to lift the 2023 FIFA World Cup title in Qatar after defeating France in the finals.

The 2024 Copa America draw is slated for Dec. 7 where the 14 qualified nations will learn their group stage opponents for next summer’s action.
