Ecco has collaborated with Rick Shiels for a limited-edition spin on the Biom C4, his self-professed favourite golf shoe. With only 500 pairs available, this will surely be a sought after shoe this season.
Ecco x Rick Shiels Edition Biom C4: First Impressions
Rick Shiels’ edition of the Biom C4 shoe takes on Shiels’ own colour palette. Much of the shoe is white, but a splash of red on the tongue and sole, as well as the black laces, gives it Shiels’ personal style. The inclusion of his logo on the heel and tongue adds a personal touch without compromising the original design’s key properties.
Ecco x Rick Shiel Biom C4 review: The technology
Despite some aesthetic changes, this edition retains the same functionality as the regular Biom C4. The 360-degree breathability and waterproofing provided by the GORE-TEX SURROUND construction are combined with the ECCO EXHAUST-GRID for air ventilation towards the sole of the foot.
The original features that make the Biom C4 Shiels’ golf shoe of choice are retained in this collaboration with Ecco.
While the design includes some changes, such as a new super stretchy mesh sock hybrid set in the progressive ECCO MTN FRIP outsole and powered by BIOM NATURAL MOTION technology, the shoe remains lightweight and breathable thanks to the premium yak leather used for the Ecco shoe.
The modifications made for this collaboration do not compromise the comfort or performance of the original Biom C4.
Only 500 pairs of Shiels’ collaboration will be released, so act fast if you want to secure your own pair. The Ecco x Rick Shiels edition of the Biom C4 will be available starting on April 26th.
