The Pittsburgh Steelers must be pleased with a 7-4 record at this point in the season.
To the surprise of many, the Steelers have a winning record despite one of the worst offenses in football.
Well, they were one of the worst offenses while Matt Canada called the plays.
This past week, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin decided to part ways with Canada as his OC.
That opened the door for the Steelers to improve on offense.
Quarterback Kenny Pickett looked hesitant and unsure of himself through the first ten games of the season.
But, new playcaller Mike Sullivan helped bring some comfort to the offense.
We saw Pickett slinging the ball all over the field against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Even though the Steelers only scored 16 points, they racked up a season-high 421 total yards.
Unfortunately, the Steelers did not leave the game unscathed from injuries.
According to Christopher Carter, Tomlin commented that Pickett has “ankle discomfort” which could limit him early in the week.
Tomlin on #Steelers injuries:
Kenny Pickett has “ankle discomfort” that might limit him early in the week.
“Got the light on” for Minkah Fitzpatrick and Montravius Adams. Both expected to participate in practice Wednesday. “Cautiously optimistic.”

This is not what any Steelers fan wants to see after the best game of Pickett’s season.
Luckily, it does not seem like an injury that will force him to miss games.
For the first time this season, Pickett threw for over 250 passing yards.
Also, he did not turn the ball over, which was vital.
Even though it was just one game, it was a step in the right direction.
Pickett needs to show he can be a capable NFL starter, and he was not given the chance while working with Canada.
We have seen many young quarterbacks flourish with the right play-caller.
Hopefully, the best of Pickett is on the horizon.
