Reports indicate that Crystal Palace and Leeds United have shown interest in acquiring Newcastle United midfielder Joe Willock.
The 26-year-old has not consistently secured a starting position in Eddie Howe’s lineup, leading to speculation regarding his future at the club. Journalist Sebastian Vidal has revealed that both Palace and Leeds have made inquiries about Willock’s status as he nears the end of his contract.
Should a transfer occur this summer, Willock might be available at a reduced price, though it remains unclear which club is currently at the forefront of the pursuit for his signature.
Could Willock Return to London?
Willock’s previous stint at Arsenal makes a potential move back to London particularly enticing for him, potentially giving Crystal Palace an advantage in the chase.
Moreover, Palace could have an opening in their midfield as they face the possibility of Adam Wharton departing for a larger club, such as Liverpool or Manchester United.
